Description

Enterokinase is a specific protease that cleaves after lysine at its cleavage site Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys. It will sometimes cleave at other basic residues, depending on the conformation of the protein substrate.

Biological activity

At 25 ° C,  reaction buffer 50 mM Tris-HCl (PH 8.0), the amount of enzyme required to digest 50 ug fusion protein containing the digestion site within 16 hours is defined as 1 unit of enzyme activity, which is 1U.
