Abstract

Introduction: Inhibin DNA vaccine has been shown to improve animal fertility. This study explores the effects of a novel Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)-Inhibin (INH)-RF-amide-related peptides (RFRP) DNA vaccine on immune response and reproductive performance in buffalo.

Methods: A total of 84 buffaloes were divided into four groups and immunized with different doses of AMH-INH-RFRP DNA vaccine or PBS, with boosters given after 14 days. Antibody titers, hormone levels, and reproductive parameters were analyzed.

Results: Higher antibody titers were observed in the group receiving a moderate vaccine dose. Increased E2 levels, ovulation rates, and conception rates were observed in antibody-positive buffaloes.

Conclusion: The novel AMH-INH-RFRP DNA vaccine enhances reproductive performance in buffalo by promoting E2 production and follicular growth.
